But before you read any further- I MUST tell you the craziest moment Maile and I experienced in Times Square. There are tons of characters walking around times square- Buzz and Woody, Batman, Statue of Liberty (well 2 of them...) you get the picture- the ones from Disneyland.. Well we were passing Minnie Mouse and all of a sudden Minnie lifts her head piece, throws up, and just walks away. About 15 people must have all seen it- and we all stood there in shock, thinking "did that really just happen." Com'on Minnie- there are kids everywhere. I will never have the same idea of Minnie Mouse anymore- she hit an all time low that morning, Sunday night must have been too much fun for her..
The one thing Maile wanted to really do was see M&M world... When she first told me that I was like "out of all of New York City you want to see M&M world." Now I fully understand why she wanted to see it. It was like being a kid in a candy store- well it was LITERALLY that. We were children in a giant chocolate candy store. The walls were lined with chocolate, there were giant M&M statues everywhere, and even some interactive games. And yes we waited behind 4 year olds to do some of the activities. Maile and I got to also figure out what color mood we are- she got pink, I got MEGA MIX. I was very proud of that. It states that I "believe too much of a good thing is a better thing" and I believe that is a true statement.
The next stop on the grand NYC tour was to wander around Times Square- we did run into someone special. Someone I didn't see the first time while I was in the square... Ahhhhhh the infamous Naked Cowboy. Well he wasn't naked.. and he was a tad creepy- but what to do you expect when for a living he plays a guitar in tidy-whities, boots and a hat. Yep saw him, got a photo, and then walked away as fast as we could.
Oh we also stopped at another important landmark in NYC.... David and Busters also known as D&B which I just shorten to DB. Shout out to Slo and Sean for giving me a nickname!
Maile and I then made our way to Central Park, and causally strolled around- people watched and probably got got watched by other people. People always talk about how they love to people watch- being in New York I wonder if people talk about me when I'm out and about... Like oh goodness there goes a wannabe New Yorker...
Well we made our through The Mall, and to the back side of the boat house. These two nice Australian ladies took our photo- we made small talk about where we were from- One of the Aussies said that they were on Holiday- so of course I ask "oh what Holiday are you celebrating" WOW. everyone looked at me like that dumb american. So if you hear an Australian talking about their holiday- they just mean summer break...
Hitting an embarrassing low with the Australians, we ventured back to the Chelsea area, but not before stopping at Abercrombie&Fitch. I know they have been all over the media with not making plus size clothing and such- and I am not on-board with their company beliefs- but one thing I do agree with is when they have a male model standing in front of his blown up photo waiting to take Polaroids with him. I mean when in New York..
so this is our male model friend we made. and yes we made him salute.
xoxo
hahahahahhaha I love this!!! I think this was fairly summed up! I miss NY already :( and you!!
