The Heat

Disclaimer: Thank you Maggie Swalko and Danielle for the Ticket to The Heat! I had an amazing time!

My Ticket
If there is one thing that you take away from reading this post.. or maybe this entire blog... is that you MUST go see the movie The Heat- staring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. By far my favorite movie right now- well one of my favorites. Its right up there with Cars, Sex and the City, Blind Side and Pretty Woman (I know my movie choice isn't the most normal..) Made by the same director of Bridesmaids, and with a hint of action. It was the perfect combination of all emotions. I laughed, I was very scared and I may or may not have shed a tear or too- wait.. the tears may have been because I saw Ben Affleck- but that's a whole other paragraph.
So if you don't know what movie I am talking about here is the link to the movie sight. And I will give you a nickle if you don't laugh at least once during it.

Maggie had texted me earlier in the week saying she had a ticket to The Heat premiere and I was welcome to join. No one in their right mind would say no. To say that I screamed for joy when I saw the text may or may not have been an understatement. I was elated.
I met up with Maggie, Molly and Danielle on the Upper West Side before the start of the movie so we could all go together. We arrived at the theater and saw Sandra and Melissa out front (yes we are on first name basis. I believe if you have seen a celebrity before, you can call them by their first name.... Sandra, Melissa, David.. you get it).

Me on the Red Carpet

After picking up our tickets we proceeded to head down the red carpet. As you can tell from the photo- I AM ON THE RED CARPET. That night was by far the most glamorous thing I think I will ever do this trip... maybe even my entire life. Oh and dont worry- Melissa was strutting herself down the red carpet as well..

Brooke on the Red Carpet

Oh and Brooke Shields also attended the premiere.  But can anyone tell me why Brooke is famous? Everyone knows her name, but I had to do multiple Google searches on her before I found something that MIGHT hint at why she is famous- her Ivory Soap commercial she did at 11 months.

Inside Ziegfeld Theater
Once we got into the theater there were celebrities EVERYWHERE. None of which I knew though. I think in my mind I thought everyone was a celebrity- I hope people thought I was one too.

I think the coolest thing about the premiere was that Sandra, Melissa and Ben were sitting just a few rows behind us!!
Melissa in her seat!

Sandra getting to her seat!

Drum roll please...

BEN AFFLECK

Okay.. the picture sucks. We walked past him 4 times but there were always body guards around him saying no photos please. So once again- tilt the screen, squint your eyes, use a magnifying glass, and you can catch a glimpse of his facial scruff. If you want a better photo of him just google it. Oh and apologize about the womens AWFUL hair- I have no idea what is wrong with it. There may or may not be a bird or some critter in it.

Overall it was an amazing night! I had so much fun, I laughed so much during the movie and I got to see my main woman Sandra. My life is complete.

And just for giggles- here is a scene from the movie. I promise you, you will not be disappointed when you watch it.

xoxo
